New Eco-Friendly Patio Heaters

Since the release of patio heaters, there have always been people who have argued against their use. The biggest complaint against them is that they damage the environment due to how they generate heat. Other arguments against them are that they waste alot of heat and energy in general.

The biggest complaint, that they damage the environment, is actually true. Standard patio heaters generate their heat by burning propane gas. As with almost everything that burns, one of the products is carbon dioxide, which damages the o-zone layer.

The second complaint against them, that they waste alot of heat, is also true. Although they are designed with a mushroom shaped top so that heat is reflected back down, rather than rising, a lot of heat is still wasted in the process.

However, a new heating company called Chillchaser has created a range of new patio heaters that are aimed to resolve all those issues.

Instead of buring gas to generate heat, Chillchaser use a new method of creating warmth. They use carbon fibre rods which are able to generate heat. The biggest advantage of using carbon fibre rods for heating is that they emit no CO2 while creating the heat. You might think that this means it has no effect on the environment, however, it doesn’t quite. Due to the patio heaters not using gas, they do need electricty to power the rods, however, the energy they need still means that these new patio heaters release more than 50% less emissions compared to standard patio heaters.

This new method of generating heat within patio heaters also combats the second complaint, that lots of heat is wasted. Carbon fibre heating is able to generate heat in a more focused method which means less heat is wasted.

The final advantage Chillchasers new heaters have is that they are fitted with an infrared sensor. The sensor is able to detect movement around it and turn the heater off when no movement is detected. This feature means that less heat is wasted if the heater is ever forgotten about.

By the looks of it, it seems that Chillchaser has revolutionized the patio heater and many eco-warriors won’t be able to complain about this heater. I guess the only possible complaint is that is there any need for them In the first place, which Chillchaser can’t really solve.

I would love to see how Chillchaser would improve a standarddehumidifiers; maybe build in a weather stations to it, that would solve two problems in one.
